Browns nominate William Comar for the NFL's 2025 International Fan of the Year

He and his family also have their traditions to keep their fandom alive. Even with the six-hour time difference, Comar watches each Browns game during the season. He has taught the 'Here we go, Brownies" chant to his children, and when they watch the games with Comar, will cheer alongside him and recite the chants.

And before kickoff each week, Comar decides which pair of Browns socks he will wear during the game. He chooses among four pairs, having to make an immediate decision without hesitation on the pair for that day's game. The tradition began when he was living in Phoenix and only had Browns-colored socks available to wear. So, he picked a pair without hesitation, and the Browns won the game that day. From there, the tradition was born.

Comar also had the opportunity to see the Browns play in person during the 2025 season, attending the London Games as the Browns faced the Vikings in Week 5. He sat among friends and other fans from around the world and experienced the team he loves in an entirely new setting. He said he hopes to continue going to the NFL's international games by attending at least one game a year.

"I know my fandom comes from being born here and wanting to keep that going," Comar said. "But some people who've never even been to the U.S., just chose the team and they're like, the Browns remind me the most of my soccer club and that's why they chose the Browns. And I mean, they were fans. You couldn't tell them apart if they were actually out in the Muni lot. It's like seeing that and seeing how much the sport, all of it has grown. It was fantastic. Going to London was a great experience."

As his day ended at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus, Comar relished in the moment of being able to see the facility and receive the news as the Browns' 2025 International Fan of the Year.

"That makes it even better, makes it more special," Comar said. "So, this is absolutely perfect."
