Ohio State's Arvell Reese makes big NFL Combine choice

It's a big week in the lead up to the 2026 NFL Draft, and Ohio State's Arvell Reese will be a big part of it.

The NFL Combine has arrived in Indianapolis, where players will be put through a variety of drills to show their stuff.

Reese, ranked in the top-five on most draft boards, could choose to limit himself at the Combine to not risk tanking his stock.

That's not the choice the Buckeyes star is making, though. He's going to be out there on the field.

"Arvell Reese is expected to participate in drills," [NFL Network's Tom Pelissero](https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/2025923114199089560) said on Monday. "The Ohio State edge player is who many people consider to be the best player in this draft. He's gonna do drills, and likely will run a 40 (yard dash), as well."

The 40-yard dash will be something everyone is watching with Reese. The best edge rushers in the NFL have become so explosive, and fans and scouts alike will be figuring Reese can drop an absolutely monster time in that.

Of course, it's really the combination of speed and strength that can make a pick like Reese work out.

He's unlikely to go No. 1 overall, because the Las Vegas Raiders are expected to take Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza.

After that, Reese's draft opens up. A number of high-picking teams could want him, or someone could even trade up to come get him.

If his Combine performance is impressive, Reese will only grow his already immense draft stock even more.
