Chelsea might remain unbeaten in the Premier League since Liam Rosenior arrived at Stamford Bridge to replace Enzo Maresca, but the last two results will have frustrated the fanbase.
Rosenior joined Chelsea at a point where the Blues had gone an entire month without a Premier League win. Yet, the former Strasbourg manager won his first four Premier League games following his arrival.
Rosenior became only the second English manager to win his first four Premier League games, and had the chance to break Craig Shakespeare’s record of five with wins against Leeds United and Burnley.

But Chelsea surrendered a two-goal lead to Leeds during a six-minute period Rosenior described as “crazy”. After failing to beat Burnley, Rosenior said Chelsea had set fire to four points in the last two.
Micah Richards shares he’s noticed something about Chelsea
Burnley’s equaliser came from a Zian Flemming header, allowed to run unmarked and meet James Ward-Prowse’s cross. It wasn’t the first time a cross into the box has worried the Chelsea defence this term.

Speaking on The Rest Is Football, Micah Richards says he’s noticed that the Chelsea centre-backs are struggling to deal with crosses into the box and it is perhaps why Chelsea want to sign a new defender.
“It was a strange game. Chelsea came out of the blocks, Pedro scores, excellent – they looked up for it. But Burnley bided their time. Chelsea had opportunities, Cole Palmer snatched at things,” Richards said.
“[In the second half] Burnley put some crosses in and Chelsea’s defending from crosses, not just set-pieces, crosses in general, has been really, really poor. Then Fofana gets sent off,” Richards said.
What Liam Rosenior said about Burnley’s goal on Saturday
Rosenior threw a Chelsea player under the bus, stopping short of only refusing to name the specific player in his post-match press conference. He says the Chelsea player failed to mark Flemming.

“An assignment was missed. An assignment, a marking assignment, wasn’t done. Flemming, we know, is their best header of the ball. I’m not here to throw players under the bus. He marked the wrong player.”
Realistically, the player in question is more than likely to be a central defender and perhaps, the next couple of team selections will reflect that. But Richards’ claim is valid and it must be sorted out soon.
