Former USC college football star exposes recruit for stealing gear

The USC Trojans have several former wide receivers preparing to enter the 2026 NFL Draft, but one of their college football stars has an interesting story to tell before he makes the leap to the pro level.

Ja’Kobi Lane recently called out a USC recruit for his time at the school and even accused the visitor of stealing his gear from the locker room.

However, the former college football star wideout took it to another level by posting his allegation on Instagram. Lane spent all three of his collegiate seasons with the Trojans before declaring for the NFL.

The alleged recruit in question, Brawley Maikolo Tuitupou, has several posts on his Instagram about visiting schools, including USC. However, Lane’s claim about stolen gear includes a bunch fo cleats, as well as receiver gloves and other apparel.

Tuitupou is a three-star prospect from Utah that remains uncommitted to a college football team. At the moment, Tuitupou is the 20th-ranked player from his home state in the class of 2027.

While Lane certainly has bigger things on his horizon ahead of April’s NFL Draft, there will certainly be lots of college fans hoping to learn more about his claim.

Lane isn’t expected to be a Day 1 selection, but the NFL Scouting Combine could boost his stock as college football players aim to rise up draft boards in late February.
