The Combine is the annual event where a select set of draft hopefuls is invited to Indianapolis, Indiana, to meet with and work out for NFL scouts and coaches. The majority of the events are just for fan enjoyment, like bench press and the 40-yard dash, which are exciting to watch but don't automatically translate to success on the football field. Still, the results of the NFL Combine give NFL analysts plenty to discuss until the NFL Draft in April.

When is the NFL Scouting Combine?
There are two sets of dates to know for the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine. The first is the general Combine dates. The event actually begins with early player arrivals on Feb. 22 and doesn't end until Monday, March 2.
The second is the dates that most fans care about. The on-field workouts are usually the only part fans care about as they watch the latest crop of draft hopefuls try their best to impress NFL franchises by going through various drills. Those start on Thursday, Feb. 26 and run through Sunday, March 1.
