Liverpool FC are very much still alive in this season’s FA Cup. Arne Slot’s side cruised past Brighton with a 3-0 win at Anfield in the fourth round, a result that underlined how different this year feels compared to last season’s shock exit to Plymouth at the same stage.

With Mohamed Salah getting back on the scoresheet and the Reds safely into the fifth round, there’s a real sense of the men building something in the domestic cups again.

On the other side of the club, Liverpool FC Women are quietly putting together a cup story of their own. Gareth Taylor’s side managed to claim the bragging rights in fourth round Merseyside derby, thanks to first-half goals by Mia Enderby and Beata Olsson.

Enderby had to be stretchered off due to an injury sustained while scoring, with Olsson her replacement from the bench. That result booked their place in the fifth round and kept alive hopes of a deep run in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Taylor said of the result via liverpoolfc.com: “I think the group give a lot, I think they’re really humble in what they want to do and they’re really honest and they are really open to learning and getting better.

“We’ve had a lot of tough moments this season, things that have gone against us on and off the pitch have been really tough and you can see now that we’re starting to come into a little bit more confidence, a little bit more fight and endeavour and that’s what the FA Cup is all about.”

“You have to earn it and we certainly did towards the end. But the players were nervy, you could feel that, which is natural.”

And the Women’s side already now know who they will face in the quarter-final, with the draw held live from Bromley FC before the fifth-round tie between London City Lionesses and Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool FC Women will travel to take on Charlton Athletic in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup quarter-finals. The FA has confirmed the quarter-finals are scheduled to be played on Sunday, 5 April 2026.
