After two ailing relationships with Offset and Diggs – plus plenty of drama and heartbreaks – the rapper is possibly setting the record straight about her “type” of man. Yet, the entire episode might be better described as “forced”, considering the “type” of men she said yes to.

Following her breakup with singer Offset over cheating allegations, Cardi B publicly confirmed her relationship with New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs in June 2025.Considering Diggs’ reputation for having baby mamas, her decision to date the NFL player raised eyebrows. However, the duo shared beautiful memories in public, appearing at each other’s professional events.
They supported each other at events; the 33-year-old rapper attended the football player’s games while Diggs gushed about her in press conferences leading up to the Super Bowl. In November 2025, they welcomed a child, taking their relationship to new heights as fans gushed over their newly found family.
The only challenge – which was never truly surprising considering Diggs’ history – was that the athlete had multiple baby mamas who bore him kids during the same year as Cardi B. Apparently, both partners treaded a tightrope, and things would soon implode.
During the Big Game, Cardi B stormed out of the stadium after spotting Diggs’ other partner – and their son – in a reserved seat at Levi’s Stadium. She flagged the athlete’s infidelity; Diggs called out her “jealousy”. Diggs later sought various ways to reconcile with the rapper, explaining that his mother had invited the woman in question to the game.
The day after the Super Bowl, which Diggs’ side lost to the Seattle Seahawks, the duo seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram. Rumors claim the singer put up a wall between herself and Diggs, barring him from attending any of her concerts. In the background, rumors claim Offset hopes he can reunite with Cardi B while both parties throw away ongoing divorce proceedings.
While Cardi B has yet to make any public, conclusive announcements about her relationship status, she doesn’t mind sharing her “job description” for the qualities she wants in a man.

Speaking to an interviewer amid her musical tour recently, Cardioutlines her “type” of partner:
“Cardi B now wants a man who can make her feel safe… she didn’t say anything about che@ting.
When she was asked about her favorite qualities in a man…
She said she likes a man who can make her feel safe, has a lot going on for himself, and at the end of the day makes her feel important and loved — a man she can talk to.
But all these qualities are in Offset and Stefon Diggs, so what’s really going on❓”
While the admissions appear as plastic as could be, they also – arguably – reflect a large portion of her ideals. Diggs, who is set for a pretrial hearing on April 1 over allegations of attacking his personal chef, might want to reconcile with her as soon as possible, but he must find her “safety” hack.
