Utah Jazz center and former Portland Trail Blazer Jusuf Nurkic will miss the rest of the season due to an upcoming surgery on his nose, [according to Chris Haynes of NBA on Prime.](https://x.com/ChrisBHaynes/status/2026028201114562906?s=20)
Haynes reported the surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, adding that Nurkic has experienced breathing and sleeping complications since fracturing his nose a few years ago.
Nurkic averaged 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.3 steals, while shooting 50% from the floor, 35% from three-point range, and 55% from the free throw line in 41 games this season. The Bosnian Beast will enter unrestricted free agency following the conclusion of the 2025-2026 season.
Nurkic is one of three Jazz big men to be sidelined for the rest of the season. On Feb. 12, it was announced that [Jaren Jackson Jr. would sit indefinitely](/nba-news-rumors/109131/jaren-jackson-jr-injury-news-surgery-record) following the removal of a noncancerous growth in his left knee. At the beginning of the season, fourth-year center Walker Kessler underwent left shoulder surgery and has not played since. The Jazz currently sit at 13th in the Western Conference with a 18-39 record.
