Chargers center Bradley Bozeman announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday.
An eight-year veteran offensive lineman, Bozeman spent the last two seasons as the Bolts center and started 33 regular-season games for the team as well as the two playoff games.
The 31-year-old was also a team captain in both of his seasons with the team as one of the leaders on offense, most notably displaying it in the 2024 season when a Saints defensive tackle tried some **[extracurriculars with Justin Herbert](https://www.chargers.com/news/saints-justin-herbert-bradley-bozeman-week-8-nfl)** after a play.
He was also an active figure in the community from the moment he arrived in Southern California, helping organize a number of food drives that impacted youth.
Bozeman even took his generosity on the road when the team had a week-long stay in Charlotte early in the 2024 season when he recruited dozens of teammates, coaches and staff for a **[food packing event](https://www.chargers.com/news/bradley-bozeman-charlotte-food-packing-event)**.
Bozeman, who was a 2018 sixth-round pick by Baltimore, played in 129 career games (110 starts) across his time with the Ravens, Panthers and Chargers.
Bozeman's retirement means the Chargers will be looking for a new starting center for the 2026 season.
The Bolts are currently projected to have around $83 million in cap space and also have five selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, including their own pick in each of the first four rounds.
