NFL Veteran Bradley Bozeman Announces Retirement After 129-Game Career: Chargers Center Hangs Up Cleats for Good

After eight seasons and 129 career games in the NFL, offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman has announced his retirement. The 31-year-old center, who started 16 games for the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 season, made the surprise decision official on his Instagram page on Monday, February 23, 2026.

In a heartfelt post accompanied by a carousel of career photos, Bozeman wrote:

“I’m ready for my next chapter. This game has given me so much — lessons, lifelong friendships, and memories my family will carry forever. I’ve poured everything I had into this journey, and I walk away grateful and proud.”

He went on to thank his former teammates, coaches, and fans before turning his focus to family:

“To my wife and kids — thank you for the support, the sacrifices, and the love. This next chapter is for us.”

Bradley Bozeman’s NFL Journey

Bozeman entered the league as a sixth-round pick (No. 215 overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Alabama. He quickly established himself as a reliable starter:

Spent five seasons with the Ravens (2018–2022), starting 68 games at center and guard.

Signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2023 (started 17 games).

Joined the Chargers in 2024 and started every game in 2025, anchoring the interior line for quarterback Justin Herbert.

Over 129 career games (all starts since 2019), Bozeman earned a reputation as a durable, smart, and physical lineman who excelled in run-blocking and pass protection.

Reactions from the NFL Community

Chargers teammates and coaches praised his leadership and professionalism.

Ravens alumni and former coaches called him a “quiet leader” who always put the team first.

Fans across multiple teams shared appreciation: “129 straight starts and never complained — class act.”

Bozeman’s retirement comes at a time when the Chargers are reshaping their offensive line and evaluating needs for 2026. His departure opens a starting center spot and adds another veteran void to fill in the trenches.

The NFL loses a dependable, respected player who played the game the right way for nearly a decade. Congratulations on a tremendous career, Bradley Bozeman—wishing you the best in the next chapter!
