**Rockets** forward **[Jae’Sean Tate](https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/tateja01.html?utm_medium=linker&utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&utm_campaign=2026-02-23_bbr)** has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 medial collateral ligament sprain in his right knee and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, head coach **Ime Udoka** told reporters, including Michael Shapiro of chron.com ([Twitter link](https://x.com/mshap2/status/2026101207169634695)).
According to Matt Young of The Houston Chronicle, Tate suffered the injury in the second quarter of Saturday’s loss at New York. Udoka technically said the 30-year-old would be reevaluated in two weeks, but noted that Grade 2 MCL sprains typically result in a four-to-six week absence.
