The Wisconsin Badgers are officially on the Kager Knueppel bandwagon.
On Sunday, it was reported that Wisconsin basketball has officially extended an offer to Wisconsin Lutheran High School four-star power forward Knueppel, who is also the younger brother of former Duke Blue Devils star and current Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel.
“Wisconsin Lutheran junior Kager Knueppel has picked up a scholarship offer from Wisconsin coach Greg Gard,” wrote Mark Miller of Prep Hoops in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Of course, Wisconsin is not the only school looking to get Knueppel’s nod. The Purdue Boilermakers, DePaul Blue Demons and Toledo Rockets have also put an offer for the rising 2027 prospect. There is also an interest in him from the Arkansas Razorbacks, according to 247Sports, which also ranks him 79th overall in his class and 12th among power forwards.
Fans react to the Wisconsin Badgers’ move on 2027 prospect
Meanwhile, here are some of the reactions to the news from fans online:
“Not sure what took them so long….,” said a fan on X.
Another one said: “He’s going to Duke or Marquette. 2 programs that put players in the NBA”
From a commenter: “Be great to get him in, also very unlikely.”
“One of many offers I’m sure!!!,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “Good. Now all the online experts can stop whining about how Gard hasn’t even looked at him. I’d be shocked if he landed anywhere but Duke, but you never know!”
Said another: “Needs to happen”
At the moment, the Badgers have zero 2027 commits, but have eight total offers.
