Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and transfer news that you may have missed from icchelseanews…
Chelsea reportedly made a quiet move for Lucas Bergvall during the January transfer window, according to The Sun. Though no deal materialised, the rumour has resurfaced as the summer window approaches, but would he make the move to Stamford Bridge?
Tottenham only signed Bergvall recently, and he has already shown flashes of the potential that made him such a coveted prospect. as such, Spurs are unlikely to entertain interest easily. Selling him to a direct London rival would be even less palatable.
The most compelling part of the speculation revolves around what Bergvall would want personally. Several factors could shape his interest. At Tottenham, Bergvall has a relatively clear developmental path with a club known for trusting young players. At CHELSEA, the competition is fierce, with multiple high-value midfielders already competing for spots.
Players of Bergvall’s profile often consider the scale of the project, the potential for short- and long-term success, and the opportunity to become a centrepiece of a team. Chelsea may be able to offer a more central role in their future blueprint — something that could appeal to a rising star.
Despite Chelsea’s interest, a summer move would be extremely complex. Tottenham would demand a substantial fee, and Bergvall would need to believe the switch would progress his career rather than stall it.
IcChelsea news Says…
It is no surprise to see that CHELSEA made a move for Bergvall in the January window, he is far too talented to be playing for a side that is fighting down in the relegation battle, he would surely move if the price was right.
We are not sure that he is needed at Stamford Bridge, but to add a bit more depth and quality to the squad, he would be more than welcome to make the move across London and join a side that competes for trophies every season, not once every 20 years.
SIMEONE TIPPED FOR CHELSEA
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has bene tipped to become boss of Chelsea in the coming seasons, by former Liverpool star Dietmaar Hamann.
Despite his impressive start to life at CHELSEA, Hamann has suggested there could be a change in the Stamford Bridge hot-seat, predicting Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone will end up in west London.
Simeone, 55, has been in charge of Atletico for 15 years, winning two La Liga titles, two Europa Leagues and reaching two Champions League finals in that time.
‘I can see Diego Simeone at Chelsea,’ Hamann told Thunderpick. ‘I think that’s probably where he’d go. Even though CHELSEA won the Club World Cup, I think they’ve lacked a bit of steel in recent years and I think they’ve made excuses too easily and too quickly.
‘If it were to be Simeone’s last season at Atletico, I don’t think we’d see him for six or twelve months because, if you look at him on the touchline, I think that what is it, 15 years now? I think it would have taken a lot out of him.
‘But what a character. I’d love to see him in the Premier League. You know, after he’d been to Atletico, he won’t go to Real. I can’t see him at Barcelona. I’m not sure he fancies Saudi Arabia.
‘I think there’s a good chance we’ll see him in the Premier League. What a fantastic story it would be.
‘Liverpool? You know, when Arne Slot says style is more important than results, then obviously it’s quite the opposite with him because he doesn’t care how he wins games, which I like.
‘This is why I like him because, I think when I was at Liverpool, I think we played a bit that way. There were quite a few teams better equipped than us.
‘And then you have to find a way to win games. He went to two Champions League finals. He was very unfortunate not to win the one. I think it was in Cardiff at the time.
‘People talk about style, but obviously he’s got a certain group of players and this is how he wants it.
‘If he comes to Liverpool and he’s got some technical players, who’s to say he’s not going to tell them to give the ball back to the opposition and try to tackle them. So, yeah, I wouldn’t rule anything out.’
CHELSEA TO SELL NICOLAS JACKSON
Fichajes reports that Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in signing striker Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, with the Blues said to be open to a summer transfer if a bid in the region of £70 million arrives.
Fichajes claims that Tottenham are monitoring the situation closely as they continue assessing striker options for Ange Postecoglou’s system. Spurs have lacked a natural No. 9 since the departure of Harry Kane, relying instead on a rotated attacking line led by Dominik Solanke and Richarlison. Jackson’s mobility, pressing output and pace in behind are believed to appeal stylistically to Postecoglou.
***CHELSEA***s willingness to entertain a deal stems partly from their own summer planning, with the club expected to pursue attacking reinforcements. A sizeable fee for Jackson would allow the Blues to reallocate funds toward more experienced or clinical forwards while easing pressure around compliance with future PSR windows.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are expected to explore several forward targets across Europe. Jackson is being viewed as one of multiple options rather than a primary or exclusive priority.
Chelsea selling directly to a major Premier League rival—particularly one competing for European places—is never straightforward. The £70m valuation may reflect both Jackson’s potential and Chelsea’s reluctance to strengthen a domestic competitor without a premium fee.
IcChelseanews Says…
Jackson ahs proved that he can score goals, he done it a few times before he went out on loan and has done it at Bayern, although we are not worried if he joins Tottenham because every player that goes there struggles.
If we manage to get £70 million for Jackson, that would be worth the money, and as we said, we are not worry about who he would join because he is a striker that cant handle playing at the highest level.
