The Dallas Mavericks reportedly have left it up to newly acquired Khris Middleton to decide if he wants to stay with his new team for the rest of the season or seek a buyout.
The Dallas Mavericks trade deadline acquisition Khris Middleton reportedly has the final say on his near future with his new team.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Mavericks have left it up to Middleton to decide if he wants to stay with his new team for the rest of the season or seek a buyout.
"Dallas has essentially left it up to newly acquired Khris Middleton to decide if he wants to stay with his new team for the rest of the season or seek a buyout," Stein reports. "Middleton can still join a playoff-bound team if he is waived by March 1 (Sunday), but he could just opt to stay put and see where it leads."
Middleton has appeared in four games for the Mavs since being acquired from the Wizards in the Anthony Davis trade.
The 34-year-old veteran has been averaging 16 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3 assists with the Mavericks in those four appearances, on 49% field goal shooting.
