Among the hundreds of NFL mock drafts circulating across the internet, it’s hard to find many that don’t have former Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza selected at No. 1 overall. The reigning Heisman winner is the consensus top quarterback on the board and will likely be taken by the Las Vegas Raiders with the first overall pick on April 23.
So what does that mean for Ty Simpson?

The former Alabama quarterback is widely viewed as QB2 in a weak class of passers for this year’s draft.Simpson will look to improve his draft status this weekend, as he plans to throw in front of teams during the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
