Tom Brady isn’t one to back down from a debate, but his recent take on professional wrestling has stirred up more than he probably expected.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion appeared on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast and dropped the word “cute” when describing WWE. It was part of a broader discussion about how pro wrestlers measure up athletically compared to NFL players like Saquon Barkley, Justin Jefferson, and many others.

Paul tried arguing he could compete with NFL athletes during the exchange. Brady was not having it and made his stance clear.

The comment seemed harmless at first, but it did not take long for WWE’s locker room to notice. Fans picked up on it quickly, and so did some of the company’s biggest names.

Randy Orton fired back publicly on Monday during an appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up” alongside Peter Schrager. The 14-time world champion made it clear he’d jump at the chance to deliver his finishing move, ‘RKO,’ to the NFL legend.
“I did see a recent podcast Logan Paul put on,” Orton said. “He had Tom Brady on, and Tom Brady had a few things to say about pro wrestling. I think he called it ‘cute.’ So, I’ve never met him, but I’d love to meet Tom and hit him with an RKO. I’d say he’d be at the top of the list.”

Brady might want to think twice about stepping into a WWE ring after lighting that fuse. But there’s also a world where both sides turn this into something bigger.
The internet would explode if Brady actually took an RKO from “The Legend Killer” on camera.

Orton’s comment also touches on a point WWE performers constantly reinforce. The outcomes might be scripted, but the physical toll is not fake.
Orton dealt with that reality after undergoing spinal fusion surgery in 2022. Severe back pain left him barely able to stand, sidelining him for more than a year.
