Caitlin Clark may have bristled at the comparison, but maybe NBA legend Reggie Miller was onto something when he compared the Indiana Fever superstar to Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard.
Pritchard, last season's Sixth Man of the Year, went unexpectedly viral as the subject of Miller's comparison during NBC's coverage of a Los Angeles Lakers - New York Knicks game on Feb. 1. But ever since veteran broadcaster Miller said Clark reminded him of Pritchard, the Celtics' sharpshooter has been on a tear.

Pritchard has scored at least 24 points in six of his eight games this month. He is averaging 23.6 points per game since Miller's comments, while shooting nearly 47 percent from 3-point range and a ridiculous 54.4 percent from the field.
These numbers are even better than Clark's WNBA output. In 53 career games, the Fever guard is averaging 18.5 points on 40.5 percent shooting, with a 32.9 percent mark from beyond the arc.

The Celtics (37-19) are 7-1 this month and sit five games behind the Detroit Pistons for the top seed in the Eastern Conference -- in part thanks to Pritchard, living up to his "billing."
