Despite a slow start to his NBA career, New York Knicks forward Pacome Dadiet has quietly begun to show meaningful progress in the G League with affiliate side, the Westchester Knicks.
The former first-round pick has struggled to carve out a consistent role at the NBA level through his sophomore season, much like his rookie campaign, resulting in multiple assignments to Westchester.
However, the extended minutes and defined role away from the NBA spotlight now appear to be paying dividends. Dadiet has steadily gained confidence and rhythm, suggesting his development may be turning a corner.

On Sunday, the Knicks announced that Dadiet had once again been assigned to Westchester, likely with the intention of giving him extended minutes in Tuesday’s matchup against the Cleveland Charge.

The move comes on the heels of one of his most impressive performances of the season. In a February 21 victory over Cleveland, Dadiet scored 28 points in 33 minutes, shooting an efficient 10-of-17 from the field and knocking down a season-high six three-pointers.
He also contributed three rebounds and two assists, while showcasing his defensive potential with two steals and two blocks in a game that also featured fellow NBA assignee Tyler Kolek.
While the Frenchman has produced solid numbers throughout the G League season, that performance stood out for its efficiency, an area that has improved as the year has progressed.
Through 12 appearances with Westchester, Dadiet is averaging 21.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and just under a steal per game while shooting 43.7% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.
Those numbers represent a significant step forward from his rookie G League campaign, when he averaged 13.9 points across 23 games while shooting 40% from the field and 29.6% from beyond the arc.

Like many young prospects, Dadiet’s early development has featured periods of inconsistency. However, this season has offered increasingly clear signs of growth.
On November 11, he recorded a season-high 29 points in 45 minutes against the Maine Celtics, adding six rebounds and four assists while connecting on three three-pointers.
His recent 28-point outing against Cleveland marked the second time he has reached that scoring total this season, reinforcing his upward trajectory.
Dadiet has also demonstrated his versatility. He recorded a 26-point, 12-rebound double-double against the Osceola Magic in late January and has produced multiple games with strong defensive contributions, including three contests with multiple steals and five separate games with at least one block.
The consistency of these performances suggests sustained development rather than a temporary surge in form.
Currently averaging 34 minutes per game with Westchester, Dadiet has benefited from the opportunity to play through mistakes while expanding his offensive skill set and overall confidence.
The young guard was briefly mentioned in trade discussions ahead of the February 5 deadline, largely in connection with roster and salary considerations, but ultimately remained with the organization.
At just 20-years-old, Dadiet still possesses the physical tools and upside that made him a first-round selection.
His latest assignment, and the growing frequency of them, suggests he could spend much of the remainder of the season in the G League with Westchester, allowing him to build on his recent momentum.
Whether he eventually earns a permanent NBA role with the New York Knicks or becomes part of a future roster move, his recent progress has reaffirmed his long-term potential as a developing two-way contributor.
