LeBron James has a problem with a comment about his son, Bronny James.
The son of the legendary NBA star is in the middle of his second professional season. Bronny James, taken in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, is averaging 2.2 points and 1.2 assists per game. He's played in 56 NBA games over two seasons.
Longtime NBA star Jaylen Brown said during Bronny's first Summer League that he "wasn't a a pro." Two summers ago, the Boston Celtics star was caught on camera saying "I don't think Bronny is a pro" while sitting courtside to WNBA players Kysre Gondrezick and Angel Reese.
The clip went viral.
On Sunday, the Lakers hosted the Celtics at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Celtics topped the Lakers, with Brown having a big game.
Following the game, LeBron was asked about his relationship with Brown, who is one of the frontrunners for NBA MVP this season.
LeBron made it clear that he hasn't forgotten what was said about his son, Bronny, during Summer League.
Lakers star takes issue with comment made
The Lakers star made it clear that he hasn't forgotten what Jaylen Brown said about his son.
"Our relationship has been pretty respectful, besides the (expletive) he said about Bronny in Summer League. But other than that, we've been all right," James said.
LeBron seemed to say that he was forgiving Jaylen.
"We'll be all right. We'll be all right," he added.
"I think he went on social media and said something about it. It's all good. Bronny has a long way to go, but that's another story."
LeBron had praise for Jaylen's play, too.
"JB is doing great. (Expletive), he's playing great basketball, man. … This whole MVP thing, I don't understand why his name is not getting talked about some as well."
