Alisson Becker’s current Liverpool deal expires on June 30, but the club are expected to activate the option to extend it until 2027, preserving his value even if a future sale were considered.

A departure appears unlikely given he remains the undisputed No.1 and has played the sixth-most minutes under Arne Slot this season. Meanwhile, Giorgi Mamardashvili has not yet been established as serious competition, raising questions about Liverpool’s long-term goalkeeping transition.

Alisson’s own plans could be decisive. The 33-year-old revealed last June that he hopes to return to former club Internacional while still performing at a high level.

“Personally, I have never been able to plan for the long term,” he told O Globo. “Obviously, I have one year left on my contract and another year of option from the club. They will probably exercise that option.

“I think about what I have in hand, about doing a great job, it is a decisive moment in my career, with a World Cup approaching. I want to be very focused, I don’t want any planning to get in the way of this great goal.”

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are interested in signing Alissonas a potential replacement for under-fire goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio. Di Gregorio has faced criticism following a series of errors during the 2025-26 season, prompting the Bianconeri to consider a new No.1 for 2026-27.

Juventus had previously tracked France goalkeeper Mike Maignan before he signed a long-term extension with AC Milan in January. They are also monitoring Guglielmo Vicario of Tottenham Hotspur, who is expected to cost around €25m.

However, Alisson has now emerged as another option, with his Liverpool contract entering its final year and the club already having potential long-term replacements.

There is also a prior connection between Alisson and Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti from their time together at AS Roma, which could further strengthen the Italian club’s interest.
