Patriots, Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors Take Significant Hit Following Raiders GM's Comments

The New England Patriots continue to be linked to Philadelphia Eagle star wide receiver A.J. Brown in trade rumors.

On defense, New England and Las Vegas Raiders superstar edge rusher Maxx Crosby have been connected for weeks.

Raiders general manager John Spytek discussed Crosby's future with the team at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday.

"John Spytek of the Raiders says he’s confident Maxx Crosby will be in Vegas this season. Why? 'Max is an elite player, and I've been very upfront from the from the start when I got here, that we're in the business of having really good players on the team. And we need a lot more of them," Christopher Price of The Boston Globe posted on Bluesky. "He says he has a great relationship with Crosby. 'He's in the building every day, getting healthy right now. We talk on the phone, we text. So I have a great relationship with Maxx.'"

Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf also talked about numerous topics at the combine Tuesday, including the possibility of the team making a trade this offseason.

"Wolf on trades: 'We’re going to explore every avenue to try to improve the team. We filled a lot of needs last year & we're still building. We have areas that maybe we feel good about the starters, but maybe depth is not where we want it to be. We have areas where we maybe need to add a starter," Price wrote on Bluesky.
