Arsenal virtually demolished Tottenham 4-1 in the north London derby and gave a stern message to the rest of the Premier League. The show was hosted by new star Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres. Ian Wright, the football pundit, uttered what was said: Eze frees Gyokeres.
Arsenal Crush Spurs in Style
Sunday game at Tottenham Hotspur stadium was a one-way affair. Arsenal got ahead early on with a spectacular single-player goal by Eze. Two others with forceful finishes were added by Gyokeres. Eze then scored his second towards the end to draw it at 4-1. Tottenham were scoring by a single error of Declan Rice.
The victory was the largest Arsenal had in Spurs in years. The fans sang throughout the game and dance at the end whistle. This outcome put Arsenal five points ahead of the top of the table, left with 10 games. Manchester city has a remaining game but the Gunners seem to be in control after three consecutive wins.

On Match of the Day, Arsenal legend and pundit Ian Wright could not stop smiling. “Eze frees Gyokeres,” he said. “That’s the key. Eze drops deep, takes two or three defenders with him, and suddenly Gyokeres has all the space in the world to run in behind.”
Wright called the duo “the best new partnership in the league right now.” He added, “Eze has the dribble, the pass, the vision. Gyokeres has the power and the finish. Together they are unstoppable.” Wright said he had not seen such chemistry at Arsenal since Henry and Bergkamp.

How Eze Makes Space for Gyokeres
The partnership worked like clockwork. Eze started on the left but came inside a lot. He drew Spurs defenders towards him with his quick feet. That left big gaps at the back. Viktor Gyokeres, the tall Swedish striker, timed his runs perfectly and finished with his power.
Eze also scored himself twice, showing he is not just a helper. In the first half he beat three players before firing home. In the second half he set up Gyokeres with a clever through-ball, then scored the fourth himself. The two players hugged after every goal and looked like best friends on the pitch.
Gyokeres now has eight goals in his last six games. Eberechi Eze has six goals and four assists since joining from Crystal Palace in the summer for £67.5 million. Their link-up play is the main reason Arsenal are flying.

Arteta Loves the New Duo
Manager Mikel Arteta was very happy after the game. “This is exactly what we wanted when we signed them,” he said. “Eze gives us creativity and Gyokeres gives us goals. They understand each other so well already.”
Mikel Arteta also remembered how he left Eze on the bench recently and upset him. “Now you see why I needed that reaction from him. He came back and showed everyone.” The boss said the pair will only get better as they play more games together.
Big Boost for the Title Race
This win came at the perfect time. After Wayne Rooney questioned Eze’s consistency last week, the 27-year-old answered in the best way possible – with two goals and two big assists in a derby. Arsenal fans are now dreaming of their first league title since 2004.
The next games are tough – Chelsea at home and then a trip to Manchester City in April. But with Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres in this form, the Gunners look ready. Sergio Aguero, the Man City legend, already said Arsenal have the strongest mentality and squad this season.
