Gary Neville has now listed his own top eight best Premier League goalkeepers of all-time after Jamie Carragher recently named his top 10. Neville took issue with a lot of the picks on his fellow pundit's list and was notably shocked by his low rating of David Seaman.
Both iconic English defenders, the pair played with many great goalkeepers over the years, having shone at Liverpool and Manchester United, respectively. However, they clearly don't see eye to eye when talking about which shot-stopping impressed the most.
Neville was baffled by many of Carragher's calls, leaving out a number of his picks from his list completely. That said, the former right-back wasn't even able to come up with a full top 10 off the top of his head, so stopped at number eight rather than including some names he was less sure about.

Unsurprisingly, Neville picked fellow Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel as his number one. However, he was shocked when hearing that Carragher had put Arsenal icon Seaman in at ninth on his list. He replied:
"No... He's got eight better goalkeepers than David Seaman? Well, he can't have seen David Seaman that much, or played with him. David Seaman was a sensational goalkeeper."
He then explained that having also played with Seaman for England, as well as Schmeichel at club level, he felt they were very close as they battled it out to be the number one goalkeeper in the Premier League, insisting that 'it was close.'
He then suggested that he felt another former Man United man, Edwin van der Sar, was about level with Seaman, in 'joint-second really' before listing Petr Cech, Alisson Becker and Ederson after that.
Neville explained that he 'absolutely loves' Thibaut Courtois but had to place him a little lower than the others, simply as he didn't spend that long at Chelsea, suggesting that his best years have since come at Real Madrid.
He then struggled to name his eight choices, but dismissed the likes of Neville Southall and Pepe Reina, chosen by Carragher, before eventually landing upon Arsenal Invincible Jens Lehmann. He also toyed with the likes of Joe Hart, Jordan Pickford, Emi Martinez and even Gianluigi Donnarumma before deciding to call it quits with eight names on the list.

Carragher certainly caused a big stir with his top 10. Having learned that Chelsea hero Cech was in at number one, Neville looked fairly shocked, while still acknowledging how good the Czech was. He was baffled by a number of other picks as well.
On Cech, the Liverpool icon explained: "The reason I went for Petr Cech was, I couldn't get his performance in the Champions League final out of my head. I was in the stadium that night and he kept Chelsea in that game and won them that game. The second reason was, we used to go into games and think, 'How are we going to score against him?'"
At one point, Neville learned that Carragher had put David De Gea above Van der Sar. Stunned, he replied:
"No, that can't happen. That's not right. It's simply not right. Let's be clear."
Van der Sar also seemed disappointed as he was in the Sky Sports studio when Carragher made his list, claiming that he thought he'd at least make the top five. It's interesting that De Gea didn't even make it on Neville's top eight.
On the Spaniard, Carragher explained: "David De Gea doesn't have the trophies and I said that was important in terms of Premier Leagues and Champions Leagues. But what he has is this [most PFA Team of the Year appearances of any GK]. When you're the best goalkeeper five times in a PFA Team of the Year, it is pretty remarkable."
