The Cowboys are being predicted to sign linebacker Devin Bush.

The Dallas Cowboys entered the 2025 season with the hope of bouncing back from their disappointing 2024 campaign. However, unfortunately for the Cowboys, they undoubtedly fell short of their goal. The Cowboys once again struggled during the 2025 season, as they finished with a 7-9-1 record and failed to make the playoffs for the second year in a row.

After another frustrating season, the Cowboys should be looking to make several moves this offseason. It is clear that multiple spots on the Cowboys’ roster are in need of a boost, so there is no question that they are a team to watch incredibly closely this offseason.

With the Cowboys hoping to turn things around, one way that should be looking to improve their roster is through free agency. This year’s free agency class has some interesting names who could hit the market, so the Cowboys should have options to choose from.

One of the Cowboys’ top needs is another impactful linebacker, and they are now being linked to a notable pending free agent because of it.

Cowboys Predicted to Sign Devin Bush in Free Agency

In a recent article for Fox Sports, Greg Auman predicted where each of the top 100 NFL free agents could sign this offseason. Devin Bush was among the players discussed, and it is understandable when noting that he is one of the top linebackers who can hit the market. This helped him land the No. 47 spot on the list.

“Once the 10th overall draft pick with the Steelers, his play there dropped off after a promising rookie year. He made $3.2 million with the Browns and should be a coveted free agent. Pro Football Focus is high on him, ranking him as the No. 8 overall free agent and projecting $12 million a year,” Auman wrote about Bush.

When it came to Bush, Auman predicted that the Cowboys would be the team that signs him during this offseason. It is easy to understand why Dallas is being viewed as a possible landing spot for Bush, as he would certainly give their linebacker position a nice boost if signed.

Furthermore, with Bush being just 27 years old, he is right in his prime and could be a strong fit on a Cowboys team that is looking to turn things around. With this, the Cowboys and Bush could be a strong match if they worked out a deal.

Bush Should Generate Interest From Multiple Teams

If the Cowboys end up targeting Bush, there is a good chance that they will have plenty of competition for his services. The 2019 first-round pick is coming off a strong season with the Cleveland Browns, and the truth is in his stats. In 17 games last season, he recorded a career-high 125 tackles, three interceptions, two interception touchdowns, and two sacks. With this, he should generate plenty of interest this offseason.

Yet, with the Cowboys needing help at the linebacker position, they should not be afraid to make a big push for Bush. It will be interesting to see if they end up being the club that lands him from here.
