Tyrese Maxey on the cusp of passing Allen Iverson for 76ers franchise record

Allen Iverson is arguably the most iconic player in Philadelphia 76ers franchise history.

Current Sixers star Tyrese Maxey is building a legacy of his own in Philadelphia, and he's on the cusp of passing Iverson for a major Sixers franchise record.

Tyrese Maxey close to passing Allen Iverson for most made 3-pointers in 76ers history

Maxey currently sits just five made 3-pointers shy of tying Iverson for the most made triples in Sixers franchise history. With six made 3s, Maxey will pass Iverson and take over the top spot. Iverson connected on 885 3-pointers in a Sixers jersey.

Maxey is connecting on 3.3 shots from long range per game, so based on that he should break the record in the next game or two for Philadelphia.

The Sixers will play the Pacers in Indiana on Tuesday night and then they'll host the Miami Heat on Thursday night. Maxey will very likely surpass Iverson during one of those games.
