Jonathan Kuminga debut: Final status released by Hawks against Wizards

Kuminga is available against Washington, marking his Atlanta debut following last NBA trade deadline arrival.

Jonathan Kuminga is finally all set to go for his Atlanta Hawks debut.

The Hawks announced Tuesday that the young forward is available to play in their upcoming home matchup against the Washington Wizards.

Kuminga hasn't played since Jan. 22 as he recovered from a left knee bone bruise. Along with Buddy Hield, he was sent to Atlanta by the Golden State Warriors for Kristaps Porzingis.

Considering that he'll just play after over a month of inactivity, Kuminga is poised to play under strict minute restrictions by head coach Quin Snyder.

After nearly five seasons filled with ups and downs in the Bay Area, Kuminga is seeking a fresh start wearing a Hawks jersey. He is averaging 12.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 23.8 minutes across 20 games for the Warriors this 2025-26 before he got traded.
