Kristaps Porzingis Injury: Steve Kerr drops big update, return game for Warriors

Porzingis (illness) is "getting better" and could return Saturday vs. the Lakers.

Kristaps Porzingis will remain unavailable to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the big man is reportedly trending towards a potential return soon.

Speaking to the media before his team's road matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, Steve Kerr revealed that Porzingis is "getting better" from his illness.

As such, there is a possibility that the Latvian star might return on Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

“He's just been really sick, but making some improvements, so we'll see how he is,” Kerr told reporters.

Porzingis didn't play on the team's 128-117 win last weekend against the Denver Nuggets, just two days after making his Warriors debut since his NBA trade deadline arrival.

With Porzingis not joining the team's back-to-back road trip against the Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State will continue to lean on Al Horford, Quinten Post and Draymond Green in anchoring their interior.

Dub Nation can only hope Porzingis will be fully recovered and ready in preparation for his potential return against the Lakers.
