BEARS RECEIVE CALLS ON BACKUP QB
The Steelers are in the market for a quarterback once again. While it sounds like they want to re-sign Aaron Rodgers, there’s no telling if he’ll return to the NFL. Therefore, they may have to look elsewhere, but the rest of their options don’t look great. However, a new option may have emerged for them: Chicago Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent.
Analyst Adam Hoge shared on Twitter that Bears GM Ryan Poles stated that they’ve received calls on Bagent, and he didn’t shut down a trade. Bagent joined the Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2023, and he has appeared in 12 games with four starts since then. While he hasn’t been incredible, Bagent might be worth taking a swing on for the Steelers if Rodgers retires.
#Bears have received calls about QB Tyson Bagent, Ryan Poles says. Said that’s a really tough decision, weighing short and long term interests, plus the cost of having to replace him if they did trade him.

INTERNATIONAL FAN OF THE YEAR
The NFL has been working to expand its reach in recent years. That includes branching out to different countries. That’s part of why the Steelers played the league’s first-ever regular-season game in Ireland last year.
As part of their work to grow the game, the Steelers recently announced that Sascha Denzinger from Germany is their International Fan of the Year. They actually surprised him with the announcement, as seen in a video uploaded to their YouTube channel. Steelers linebacker Julius Welschof, a German native, got to break the news to Denzinger, and it looked like a special moment.
LIKELY COULD RETURN TO RAVENS
The Baltimore Ravens had a rough 2025 season, especially against the Steelers. They got swept by Pittsburgh, and both losses were heartbreaking. Tight end Isaiah Likely had big moments in both games. He caught a touchdown that was called back in the first game and made a big catch in the second game to set the Ravens up for a potential game-winning field goal. Ultimately, they missed and lost.
Now, Likely will hit free agency. The Ravens selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, and he’s been productive for them. While he could be looking for a bigger role elsewhere, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said that Likely could still return to Baltimore, as shared by Around the NFL on Twitter. We’ll see if Likely re-signs with the Ravens and gets another shot against the Steelers.
