Kon Knueppel splashes another 3-Point NBA achievement

The Hornets rookie is now officially the fastest player to reach 200 career triples in NBA history.

Kon Knueppel has been authoring record after record in the NBA's three-point book.

Charlotte Hornets / Schedule

The Charlotte Hornets rookie just made another history, as he led the team's 131-99 blowout win over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

Knueppel, who finished the night with 21 points in 23 minutes, became the fastest player in NBA history to reach 200 career threes.

A trifecta with 6:25 left in the third quarter landed Knueppel in another major feat, and he pulled it off with fewer games compared to some names behind him now on the leaderboard.

In addition, he made history as the first Hornet ever and the 15th player in NBA history to have 200 triples within 60 games in a season.

Following this huge feat, Knueppel is projected to break the record for most threes made by a rookie in his first season in the league. Hitting three treys against the Bulls, Knueppel (201) needs six more to move past Keegan Murray's mark (206) back in 2022-23.
