Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott had high praise for the Boston Celtics prior to hosting them at PHX Arena on Tuesday.
Ott has previously called the Celtics "methodical," and he explained why during his pregame press conference.
"I think some of the playoff experience, maybe how they've gone deep into the playoffs. It feels like at times, they've used the regular season is testing labs to execute later into the playoffs. That experience with those types of players and that staff and organization, you can't duplicate that. So I think that's a part of it," Ott told CLNS reporter Noa Dalzell.
Phoenix Suns coach Jordan Ott referred to the Celtics as one of the most methodical teams he’s seen during his tenure in the NBA.
I asked him what he attributes that to:

"The way Jaylen and Jayson play, they're really good at finding mismatches, so I'd say that's a part of it. But yeah, that’s as methodical of an execution team that we'll see all year — and they do it at a high level with different personnel," Ott added.
Sure enough, Boston was methodical again on Tuesday night, routing the Suns 97-81 despite missing its two best players in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown*.* It was the fourth straight win by double digits for the Celtics, who have won nine of their last 10 games.
Despite being shorthanded against Phoenix, Boston was methodical in overcoming a slow start and getting better as the game progressed, making key adjustments at halftime before pulling away in the third quarter.
The Celtics will need to be methodical again on Wednesday if they want to beat the Denver Nuggets on the second night of a back-to-back.
