Arsenal have the chance to bring in some new faces when the summer transfer window opens up
Arsenal are ‘monitoring’ Brighton and Hove Albion youngster Jack Hinshelwood, according to CaughtOffside. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have also been mentioned as potential suitors. The report adds that his price tag could reach as high as £48million.
The Gunners are hoping to win the Premier League title this season. Mikel Arteta’s side beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 away last time out. Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres both scored twice for the London outfit at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Arsenal keen on Brighton and Hove Albion man Jack Hinshelwood
Arsenal could see Hinshelwood as someone to bolster their squad ahead of the next campaign. He would be a shrewd long-term addition if they managed to lure him to the Emirates Stadium. The prospect can play in either midfield or defence so his versality is a key attribute.
Hinshelwood, 20, is an England youth international. He has been on the books at Brighton for his whole career to date and rose up through their academy. The Worthing-born man was a regular for the Seagulls at various different youth levels before breaking into their first-team.
He penned his first professional deal back in 2023 and made his senior debut in the same year in a league fixture against Aston Villa. Hinshelwood has since made 67 appearances in all competitions for the Sussex club and has chipped in with nine goals, one of which has come this term. His current club could face a battle to keep him now amid attention from elsewhere.
When does Jack Hinshelwood’s contract expire amid Arsenal interest?
Hinshelwood’s deal at Brighton runs out in 2028 with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and City lurking. After penning his last extension, their former Technical Director David Weir said at the time: “Jack is a role model and his journey is an inspiring one for all the players in our academy.
“His attitude on and off the pitch throughout his time at the club has been exemplary, the way he has transitioned into the first-team squad was impressive and we are all very proud of his progress. Were it not for injury he would have no doubt played a lot more first-team games this season, but we are looking forward to him being back ready for pre-season this summer."
