Arne Slot‘s side will be drawn against one of Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray or Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League.

That comes after Atletico battered Club Brugge 4-1 in the second leg of their playoff tie on Tuesday night to secure a 7-4 victory on aggregate.

It means Atletico will be on one side of the draw and the winner of Galatasaray and Juventus’ clash on Wednesday on the other – with the Turkish club leading 5-2 from the first leg.

The draw will take place Friday, February 27 at 11am (GMT) and Tottenham await the side not drawn against Liverpool in the last 16.

Diego Simeone’s side surged to a big win at the Metropolitano Stadium through striker Alexander Sorloth’s hat-trick and another from Johnny Cardoso.

Sorloth’s opener came via an error from former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who let a shot squeeze under him in an otherwise routine save early on.

Centre-back Joel Ordonez – tentatively linked with a move to Anfield – reduced the deficit having scored an own goal in the first leg, but it proved a mere consolation for Club Brugge who exit the Champions League.
