Report: Chelsea receive the outcome of 2024-25 Premier League PSR investigation

A veil of uncertainty has finally been lifted from Stamford Bridge as the Premier League reportedly delivered its Profits and Sustainability verdict on Chelsea’s financial compliance for the 2024-25 season.

The Chelsea owners were the first to find the loophole of selling assets such as hotels and their women’s team to related companies and registering that as a profit for PSR calculations.

It paid off for Chelsea, but it has opened the door for the Premier League to take a closer look.

Interestingly, it was claimed that the Blues are the safest team in the top-flight in terms of their PSR books for the 2024-25 season, but no one knew whether to believe it.

And now it’s been proven true after the recent findings.

Should Chelsea be allowed to spend WHATEVER they want on transfers?

Chelsea pass the PSR rules for the 2024-25 season

A report from The Times detailed the findings from the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability check for the 2024-2025 season.

All 20 Premier League clubs have avoided breaches of Profitability and Sustainability Rules for last season, but it is stated that two clubs were helped by the sales of their women’s teams.

Clubs had to submit their accounts for 2024-25 by a deadline of December 31, and the rules, which limit losses to £105million over a rolling three-year period, with some deductions permitted, were passed.

Aston Villa and Everton were the two sides who followed Chelsea’s lead with the sale of their women’s teams.
