The Charlotte Hornets returned to action Tuesday night, facing the Chicago Bulls away from home.
Entering the game having lost two of their last three matchups, the Hornets were eager to earn another victory as they make a playoff push toward the end of the season.
Although the two sides were nearly even at halftime (Charlotte led 56-55), the Hornets went on a huge run in the third quarter, outscoring Chicago 42-16.
They continued to cruise in the fourth quarter and ultimately earned a 32-point victory.
The Hornets finished with seven players in double-figures, including Brandon Miller who finished with a team-high 23 points. Kon Knueppel scored 21, continuing his impressive accuracy from long range.
As a team, Charlotte recorded 13 steals and eight blocks, as Moussa Diabate anchored the defensive effort with three of each.
With the win, the Hornets set a new franchise record for the most consecutive road wins with eight.
They also set an NBA record, becoming the first team in history to make 25 or more three-pointers in consecutive games.
Following the win, Knueppel spoke to the media about the performance. "I just think when we play together and we play really hard defensively, we're a tough team to beat. When everybody's bought into doing that, we go out there and play well."
Now, with two straight victories under their belt, the Hornets will play the final game of their current road trip in Indiana against the Pacers Thursday before returning home for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
