The Sacramento Kings explored the possibility of trading three-time NBA All-Star center Domantas Sabonis before the February 5 deadline. However, according to Marc Stein, an offseason deal isn't a certainty.
Sacramento Kings / Schedule
Much could depend on the upcoming lottery results and who the Kings select in the draft.
The Toronto Raptors have previously been mentioned as a potential suitor for Sabonis.
The main obstacle in trade talks between Sacramento and Toronto was reportedly draft compensation. The Kings insisted on receiving a first-round pick, while the Raptors were unwilling to meet that asking price.
Sabonis will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Before the injury, the Lithuanian big man appeared in 18 games this season, averaging 15.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
