Charlotte Hornets made history in a dominant 32-point road win over the Chicago Bulls, setting a franchise record with eight straight road victories and becoming the first NBA team ever to hit 25 or more three-pointers in consecutive games.
The Charlotte Hornets did more than just win on Tuesday night. They made history. In a dominant road performance against the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte not only secured a 32-point victory but also set both franchise and NBA records, marking one of the most important nights of their season.
With the win, Charlotte set a new franchise record for most consecutive road victories. The Hornets have now won eight straight games away from home, the longest road winning streak in team history.
The Hornets also made NBA history. By knocking down 25 or more three pointers for the second straight game, Charlotte became the first team in league history to reach that number in back-to-back contests.
Kon Knueppel once again showed his accuracy from long range, finishing with 21 points and continuing his strong shooting stretch. Brandon Miller led the team with 23 points.
The records were fueled by a massive third-quarter run. After leading by just one point at halftime, 56-55, the Hornets exploded in the third period, outscoring Chicago 42-16. That run broke the game open and set the stage for a historic finish.
