The Arizona Cardinals are bringing back Wendy Laurent through the Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellowship program.
Laurent is back with the team after spending training camp with the team last year through a Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellow. Before landing on the Cardinals fellowship, he was hired by Old Dominion as its tight ends coach for the upcoming season.
He marks the eighth Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellow since the program kicked off in 2015. Among those eight was Connor Senger, who currently serves as Arizona’s pass game coordinator, in 2022.
After his time with the Cardinals in 2025, Laurent went on to coach at Ohio State as an assistant tight ends coach. Before that, he spent three seasons (2022-24) working with tight ends at Dartmouth College. He also served as a graduate assistant for his alma mater Penn State for two years (2020-21). Laurent got his coaching start with Buffalo as a grad assistant in 2019.
Laurent now joins a new-look coaching staff following the hiring of head coach Mike LaFleur this offseason.
The staff was rounded into form last week and includes 10 holdovers from last year’s group and 11 new faces.
