There is so much to admire about Mane at such a young age, with the attacking midfielder performing with so freedom this season, despite playing in a bottom-of-the-table side.
He has already [won seven caps for England’s Under-18s](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mateus-mane/profil/spieler/1230661), no doubt being seen as a future key man in the senior setup, with _Sky Sports_ pundit [Paul Merson](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/2026/02/20/can-be-a-superstar-sky-sports-pundit-gives-mateus-mane-ultimate-praise-but-issues-warning-over-wolves-star-youngster/) claiming he “could be a superstar” one day.
It clearly won’t be easy for Liverpool to get Mane, considering the likely battle for his signature this summer, but they are one of Europe’s most appealing clubs, and they will hopefully sell him the idea of joining them.
Bringing in young homegrown talent has to always be seen as a priority for the Reds, and if Mane ends up being one of the summer arrivals, it would only be a good thing.
