The Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks are viewed as the strongest options for the four-time champion.
More than any other franchise, Cleveland continues to be linked to James. The Akron native delivered a historic title to the Cavaliers in 2016, completing a 3-1 comeback in the NBA Finals. He has often called that championship one of the biggest moments of his career.
Warriors could offer a different type of storyline. A partnership between Stephen Curry and James would instantly become one of the most-watched duos in the NBA.

He is shooting 49.9 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from three-point range.
