Birth place: Dallas, United States of America

Speaking openly about the moment, on X, Bosh described how quickly everything happened.

"So I woke up covered in my own blood. It was crazy. It was fast. It was instant," he said. "There was no warning. I didn't have any time to prepare for it. I was getting ready to go on a date with my wife, and the next thing you know, I was on the ground."

Bosh made it clear that the moment caught him completely off guard. There were no early signs, no time to react, and no chance to prepare himself mentally or physically.

"I won't get into specifics, but you can kind of see I'm still recovering. I'm not gonna try to hide that one in case I look different, but it was a scary thing, and it came fast. And it made me really have a different outlook on life and how things go, what we do for ourselves, what we do for our family."

The 11-time All-Star admitted that the experience forced him to slow down and reflect. It was not just about health. It was about priorities, family and daily decisions.

"How we live our lives, and no matter what it is, make sure you don't wait," Bosh explained. "That's the thing that I get from this. Don't wait to take action because it could come fast, it could come quick, and I'm lucky to be alive, and I feel great about that. And now I'm thinking about how I live my day-to-day life. That's really it. But don't wait."

He emphasized urgency and living with purpose. For Bosh, the message is simple. Take action now, not later.

"Don't wait to take action. You might be wanting to get a promotion. You might want to try out for the team. You might want to go on that vacation. It might be so many different things that people want to do, that we want to do, that we never do," he concluded.

Throughout his NBA career, Bosh played for the Toronto Raptors and the Miami Heat. He was drafted fourth overall in the 2003 NBA Draft and quickly became the face of the Raptors franchise.

Later, he joined forces with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in Miami, forming one of the most dominant trios in league history.

Bosh won two NBA championships with the Heat in 2012 and 2013. He was selected to 11 All-Star Games and earned All-NBA honors.

Known for his versatile skill set, mid-range shooting, and ability to stretch the floor as a big man, Bosh was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021.
