NBA fans are keeping former Miami Heat star Chris Bosh in their thoughts this week.
Bosh, a two-time champion and 11-time All-Star, played on the Toronto Raptors from 2003-2010 before taking his talents to South Beach. He averaged 19.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game during his career, which rightfully earned him a spot in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
On Wednesday afternoon, Bosh revealed that he recently had a medical scare while getting ready for a date with his wife. The former Georgia Tech star woke up covered in his own blood and was unable to move his body.
"So I woke up covered in my own blood. It was crazy. It was fast. It was instant. There was no warning. I didn't have any time to prepare for it. I was getting ready to go on a date with my wife, and the next thing you know, I was on the ground," Bosh said. "I won't get into specifics, but you can kind of see I'm still recovering. I'm not gonna try to hide that one in case I look different, but it was a scary thing, and it came fast. And it made me really have a different outlook on life and how things go, what we do for ourselves, what we do for our family."

Bosh stressed the importance of getting your health checked as soon as there are warning signs.
"How we live our lives, and no matter what it is, make sure you don't wait. That's the thing that I get from this. Don't wait to take action because it could come fast, it could come quick, and I'm lucky to be alive, and I feel great about that. And now I'm thinking about how I live my day-to-day life. That's really it. But don't wait."
Fans show support for Chris Bosh.
Bosh's NBA career was ultimately cut short in 2017 due to blood clots. Fans are hoping his latest medical emergency is just another obstacle that he soars past.
"I'm glad you're here to tell the story brother," one fan said. "Sending love."
"Sending you a lot of love and good vibes Chris," a second fan added.
"We appreciate the words of wisdom Bosh and heat nation is praying for you," another fan wrote on X.
"Thank you for sharing! I'm a young man and this was extremely inspiring. Praying for good health," a social media user commented.
Hopefully, the next update from Bosh is extremely encouraging.
