Barcelona star Raphinha has lifted the lid on some of his team-mates and admits he’s been blown away by just how quick loan star Marcus Rashford is on the pitch.
Rashford is in the midst of an impressive loan spell with the Catalan giants and is hoping to stay past the end of the season.
Raphinha was asked which of the two players was the quickest in a Q&A session with the club and was in no doubt.
”Faster, Rashford or me? Good question. The truth is, we never raced side by side. But I think he’s faster. His speed is amazing,” he said.
The Brazilian also spoke about the unity between the players in the dressing room and how they are all one big family.
”This locker room is wonderful, everyone loves each other. We’re like a family. We spend more time here than with our own families. There’s real friendship. So much success is also a result of that,” he added.
“I see something really beautiful: we all try to stick together. Everyone has their closest friends, but nobody excludes anyone. Veterans talk to younger players, foreign players talk to the homegrown ones...”
Raphinha went on to say that Ronald Araujo and Ansu Fati were the players he’s felt closest to but also says club legesnds like Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Sergio Roberto all helped him when he first arrive.
