CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Cincinnati Bengals have not played an international game since 2019, and that could change this season.
The NFL announced Wednesday that the Washington Commanders will play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in the upcoming season.
The Commanders’ opponent has not been announced yet, but there is a chance it could be the Bengals.

Washington is among Cincinnati’s nine away opponents for the 2026 season.
If the Commanders end up being the designated home team for the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, then the Bengals could be chosen as the away team.
While the Commanders have played internationally recently (Madrid 2025), the Bengals have not traveled overseas since 2019.
There is currently one other matchup for the Bengals in 2026 that could have them playing outside the United States.
The New Orleans Saints will play in Paris next season, the NFL announced in early February.
The Saints are among the Bengals’ home opponents for 2026.
Unlike the Commanders’ scenario, the Bengals would have to be the designated home team for the Paris game to make the matchup work.
Should the Saints be named the home team in Paris, then the Bengals will end up playing New Orleans in Cincinnati at Paycor Stadium.
The other locations for the NFL’s international games in 2026 are:
Madrid
Mexico City
Melbourne
Munich
Rio
The full list of teams taking part in the nine international games will be announced at a later date, according to the NFL.
