As trade speculation continues to swirl around A.J. Brown, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman offered a notable comment at the NFL Combine that may shift the conversation.
Speaking in an interview with Mike Florio, Roseman made it clear that Brown remains central to the team’s offensive outlook under new coordinator Sean Mannion:
“He’s a huge part of the vision Sean has for the offense,” Roseman said.
Roseman’s phrasing quickly caught attention on social media.

With rumors circulating about Brown’s long-term future in Philadelphia, Roseman did not simply offer generic praise, as he had earlier this offseason. Instead, he directly tied the star receiver to Mannion’s blueprint moving forward.
This comment suggests the Eagles intend to have Brown back as a major part of the offense next year.

Roseman’s decision to publicly link Brown to Mannion’s vision suggests the receiver is viewed as a foundational piece, not someone the team is looking to move on from.

Eagles Trade Speculation Has Not Fully Disappeared
Brown has been the subject of offseason chatter after a 2025 season that included visible frustration at times.
On Tuesday, head coach Nick Sirianni recently declined to offer absolute guarantees about any player’s future, fueling further debate around Brown.
His combine interview was far less convincing than Roseman’s when it came to a potential return.
Financially, a pre-June 1 trade would carry significant dead money implications, making any move complicated. Still, the noise has persisted.
Roseman did not explicitly shut down trade talk during his combine availability. However, tying Brown directly to Mannion’s offensive vision sends a different kind of message.
That makes it hard to see the Eagles parting with Brown as they try to stay competitive in the grueling NFC.
Philadelphia has long emphasized drafting, developing and retaining its own core players rather than chasing splash free agent moves. If Brown truly sits at the center of the offense Mannion plans to build, that philosophy appears intact.
In a week filled with speculation, Roseman’s words may have flown under the radar. But they offered a telling glimpse of where Brown stands in the Eagles’ plans moving forward.
