Hall of Fame college basketball series set to return to T-Mobile Arena

The Hall of Fame basketball tournament will return to T-Mobile Arena this fall, a year before the annual series will see Arizona face Duke and Kansas play Indiana at Allegiant Stadium, ahead of the 2028 NCAA men’s Final Four being held at the NFL stadium.

The 2027 event will see the 2027-28 NCAA season begin and end at Allegiant Stadium, with the Hall of Fame series serving as a test run before the Final Four is held at the $2 billion facility.

This year’s event will see Arizona play UCLA and Gonzaga face Purdue, Nov. 2 at T-Mobile Arena, as part of the 2026 Hall of Fame Series. This year’s event will also feature two women’s games, including UNLV taking on USC and the expected return of Trojan star player, JuJu Watkins.

“The Hall of Fame represents the very best of our game, and it’s special for our program to be part of something that celebrates college basketball at the highest level,” Gonzaga coach Mark Few said in a statement. “We have tremendous respect for Purdue and for the outstanding program Matt Painter has built — his teams are always tough, disciplined and well-coached. Opening the season against an opponent of that caliber in Las Vegas will be a great challenge and an exciting way to start the year.”

Tickets for the event will go on sale in April via AXS and the game will be televised on TNT Sports.

This year’s event will mark the fourth time the series will be held in Las Vegas, with the 2027 event at Allegiant Stadium being the last of a previously announced five-year deal. It is unclear if the event will return to Las Vegas after 2027. The Hall of Fame Series has previously been hosted in several different cities including Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Antonio and Toronto.

Universities that have been part of the previous Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas include BYU, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas and Villanova.

“Opening Night at T-Mobile Arena has established itself as a preferred destination for college basketball’s elite programs, and this year’s lineup exemplifies that tradition,” Melissa Meacham-Grossman, president of Position Sports, which owns and operates the Hall of Fame Series, said in a statement.
