Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld have been one of the NFL’s most-watched power couples since they were first linked in May 2023. They got engaged on Nov. 2024, during the Bills’ bye week, amidst a sunset beach setting in Malibu. Just over six months later, they married in a black-tie ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito on May 31.
The couple is currently expecting their first baby in early March 2026. Life has indeed moved fast for the Bills’ franchise signal-caller, who was also named the 2024 NFL MVP during this whirlwind period.
Steinfeld’s pregnancy became official at the end of 2025. The day after she turned 29. She first broke the news in her Beau Society newsletter as the final entry in a list of her “29 favorite moments” from the year.

The couple also posted a joint Instagram video showing Allen kissing her bare baby bump as the two stood in the snow. Steinfeld sported a hoodie emblazoned with the word “Mother” while Allen cradled her stomach. It was a sweet, personal moment that was warmly received by fans. But that goodwill, however, has started to wear thin.

Two months after the snowy announcement, Steinfeld released new pregnancy photos through her Beau Society newsletter. One shows a visibly pregnant Steinfeld sitting on a kitchen counter while Allen sits at the table with both sipping coffee.

But the timing was poor, and so the reactions were far from positive. Critics called the photos performative, arguing that their kitchen snap looked like a snap from adult films.
“Omg the staged sip is corny,” one userwrote.
Another oneadded, “Get your dirty a– off the kitchen table.”
A thirdnoted, “Who stages these things. So disingenuous and attention seeking.”
The fourth fanpenned, “No bro this is a very odd photoshoot.”
Anotherjoked, “That’s probably the position he had her on that table to do it.”
A random X user went further,questioning, “What kind of man puts a picture like that of his wife on the internet? Are they even married? She can’t take his name? What, is she ashamed of him?”
As for what comes next for Allen on the field, the Bills are rebuilding around him heading into 2026. Head coach Sean McDermott wasaxed following the Denver Broncos 33-30 OT loss and replaced by offensive coordinator Joe Brady. He will inherit a roster carrying over $10 million in cap debt that needs restructuring.
Allen himself had foot surgery in late January after breaking his fifth metatarsal but his recovery timeline won’t affect the start of OTAs, which kick off April 6 for Buffalo. Allen finished the 2025 regular season with 3,668 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
And off the field, Allen’s fatherhood era is expected to officially begin sometime around mid-2026 .
