Congratulations are pouring in for NFL announcer Cris Collinsworth on Wednesday evening.
Collinsworth, the voice of NBC's "Sunday Night Football," is on the verge of a massive payday. Collinsworth, who owns Pro Football Focus, is reportedly selling the company for a massive payday. The company, which is seen weekly on "Sunday Night Football" with its player grades, is being sold.
According to a report on Wednesday night, the software and analytics company Teamworks is purchasing PFF for $130 million to $140 million, according to a report by Arif Hasan in his Wide Left Substack.

It's a huge move.
"It seems as if Teamworks, which does virtually nothing on the content side themselves or with any of their acquired properties, doesn't have a media plan at the outset. There's no clear understanding of what may happen to the fantasy/gambling sides of PFF either," Hasan reported.
Hasan continues, "What seems to be clear, however, is that Pro Football Focus management - who seemed to be aware of the imminence of the deal weeks ago - only informed those working for PFF's business-to-business side. Those working on the content or consumer side weren't given much information from the company and learned second- or third-hand."
Fans congratulating Collinsworth
Fans are quickly congratulating the NFL announcer on the big move.
"So much respect for what @PFF built. Started charting every player on every play back in 2014, giving the public insanely useful data to use/analyze. Now that level of charting is table stakes for anyone trying to do anything predictive in NFL," one fan wrote.
"Whoa!" one fan added.
"I wrote a few years back that PFF could either be Apple or IBM but they were more on the path of IBM. If Arif's reporting is accurate from a valuation standpoint, they went the IBM route," one fan added.
"This is huge!" one fan added.
"Incredible scoop from Arif on Teamworks buying PFF. They also own Sportlogiq (NHL video tracking), Opteamal (European soccer), Telemetry Sports (PFF competitor), Basepath (NIL management), and Zelus (data management tool for multiple sports and countries)," one fan added.
It's a huge move, that's for sure.
