It has been a while since the Green Bay Packers last won a Super Bowl, and they will be going at it again in 2026 with a roster many feel is capable of taking home the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
That belief is unsprisingly shared by Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst.
“In my mind, we have a very good team that’s capable of winning the Super Bowl,” Gutekunst said on Tuesday at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
The Packers have time to shore up their roster ahead of the 2026 NFL season
Green Bay was among the favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2025, as they have a great roster that got even better when they shocked the football world by acquiring superstar pass rusher and then-four-time Pro Bowler Micah Parsons via a trade with the Dallas Cowboys just before Week 1 of the campaign.
Things looked good to start the season, as Green Bay won two games in a row befoer stumbling in Week 3’s stunning loss to the Cleveland Browns. But later in the campaign, the Packers struggled, as they lost four in a row and limped into the playoffs, where they lost right away to the Chicago Bears.
Hopefully for the Packers, it will be a different and much better story in 2026, but Gutekunst surely knows that there are still moves to be made in order to further bolster the team’s chances of winning a Super Bowl.
