The Tennessee Titans have been in rebuild mode for years, but the 2025 season hit a new low. Brian Callahan, in his second year running the show in Nashville, went 1–5 before being fired on October 13, 2025. This capped a 4–19 overall record, historically poor for a franchise that had held the AFC’s No. 1 seed as recently as 2021.
Callahan’s offense was underwhelming from the jump and struggled to help first-overall pick Cam Ward develop consistently. Following Callahan’s dismissal, the Titans named senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy as interim head coach. The team finished the year with a miserable 3–14 record, marking their fourth consecutive losing season.
So when the Titans turned the page and hired Robert Saleh on Jan. 19 the move made sense on paper. Saleh, 47, brings the defensive credibility Tennessee has lacked. In his nine seasons as either a defensive coordinator or head coach, Saleh has been part of nine top-10 defenses.

Saleh and his wife Sanaa, who have been married since 2007, arrived in Nashville with six sons and two daughters. The rare family photo posted by the Titans’ official account in front of a private jet immediately caught fire on social media.

That buzz only got louder when a clip from the NFL Scouting Combine on February 25 started making the rounds. NFL insider Dov Kleiman shared a video from a Patty McAfee Show interview where Saleh sat alongside new Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi and was asked point-blank about his eight children.
“She gets me when I’m sleeping,” Salehsaid, and everyone lost it.

The clip opened the floodgates on social media, and fans didn’t miss the opportunity to react to Saleh’s hilarious take.

All jokes aside, there’s something the fanbase seems to genuinely like about Saleh. He’s not trying to be a brand. He answered a question about his family with a one-liner, laughed, and moved on. At least the man is making Nashville pay attention before he’s even called a single snap.
