Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his pregnant wife, Hailee Steinfeld, hints at their due date.

While the Buffalo Bills prepare for the 2026 NFL season, quarterback Josh Allen is getting ready for a life-changing experience at home — the birth of his first child.

Hailee Steinfeld, Allen’s wife, announced her pregnancy in December. After Steinfeld debuted her baby bump at the Golden Globes, she’s kept a low profile over the past month.

The 29-year-old revealed she’s deep in the nesting phase in her newsletter, Beau Society, last week.

“The nesting phase is real, and I’m in the middle of it,” she wrote. “Unsurprisingly, putting together a nursery has been a joy for me. I’ve gone back and forth on tiny details more than I care to admit (why is choosing a rocking chair this emotional?), but seeing it all slowly come together has made our new life feel more tangible. Emphasis on ‘slowly’ coming together — it’s all still very much a work in progress.”

While preparing for their baby, Steinfeld also launched the next tier of her newsletter, a paid subscription to give fans a closer look into her life. In the upgraded Beau Society debut on February 25, she shared all-new photos of her baby bump.

Josh Allen Had No Words for Hailee Steinfeld’s Life Update

Allen reposted Steinfeld’s photo on his Instagram Stories with three heart emojis, presumably one for him, his wife, and their future baby.

“Before I was pregnant, I remember hearing other women talk about this elusive ‘in-between stage’ of pregnancy,” Steinfeld shared in her newsletter. “I came to understand it as the weeks (or months) when you know your body has changed and is changing rapidly, but you’re not showing ‘enough’ to the point where it’s obvious to other people that you’re pregnant.”

The “Sinners” star spent “a good part” of her pregnancy “in cold, snowy Buffalo,” she added. “Safe to say, I was in the in-between for a bit.” But once her bump became more prominent, she “felt energized to get dressed and put together cute little outfits for dinners with friends or just to run out to the grocery store.”

“The thing about pregnancy: Every day is different, which makes getting dressed tricky… or fun! It depends on how you choose to see it that day. My goal is always comfort first. Some days it’s easier to find a comfy option that still feels put-together. Other days it’s a sweatshirt, and that’s fine.”

Based on the photos, it seems the couple’s baby will arrive before organized team activities begin in late spring.

Speaking to reporters after Bills’ head coach Joe Brady’s introductory press conference last month, Allen opened up about becoming a father.

“I’ve got siblings that have kids, I’ve got a lot of friends that have kids. I don’t know if you can plan too far in advance,” he said of preparations.

“So I’m very much looking forward to that with my wife, of becoming a dad. It’s something that I will take with great pride. And we’re going to have to figure things out on the go, just like anything else.”

“But this is the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life, being a dad. And I know I love being a football player, and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. But I’m looking forward to this one.”
